What I Believe

My goal is straightforward, even if it is not easy: I want money and investing to be the least of your concerns. Not because financial planning is simple — it is not — but because that is exactly what a great financial advisor should make possible.

I want to help you pursue goals that are purposeful and fulfilling — not just financially sound. I want to make sure you can pay your bills, but also that you have the freedom to enjoy the life you have worked hard to build. I want to help you navigate the financial services world with confidence, so you can take advantage of the tools available to you without the risk of being taken advantage of in the process.

By taking on the complexity of your financial life, my goal is to take that burden off your shoulders entirely — so you worry less about the things outside your control and spend more time on the things that matter most to you. That is my mission.

The Professional Version

The Personal Version

My career path has neither been straight nor easy — but my reason for it has been quite personal.

I am the proud son of parents who worked hard and did well, but who navigated the financial world the way most working families do: largely without guidance, figuring it out as they went. No one in my family had a financial advisor. No one held stocks outside a retirement account.

So although I grew up on the outskirts of the world's financial capital — in The Bronx, New York — when I started this career, I had no built-in network, no family connections, and no safety net if I stumbled. What I did have were the values my parents instilled in me: education, hard work, integrity, and honesty. I built my practice on those. One client at a time, one problem solved at a time.

I share this because that experience is not incidental to who I am as an advisor. I understand what it means to build something real from the ground up. I understand what it feels like when a financial decision carries real weight — because there is no cushion underneath if it goes wrong. And I understand the particular satisfaction of getting it right, of leaving a family in a better position than you found them.

Today I live in New Jersey, with my wife, three children, my parents, and our Egyptian Mau cat Mr. Boots. When I'm not in the office or spending time with my family, you can find me putting my self-taught handyman skills to work by fixing things around the house, bike riding, hiking new trails, or spending time at the beach. I also enjoy traveling to experience new foods and cultures. I was certified as a scuba diver during a semester abroad in Fiji in college and have been meaning to get back in the water ever since. Surfing and kite surfing are on the list too — for whenever life opens up enough to make room.

I know it is a competitive world and there are many choices when it comes to financial advisors, and I take that seriously.

Most of them are competent. Many of them are credentialed. A fair number of them are independent. However, most of them look the same on paper.

I firmly believe I can do this better than most, because I'm not your typical financial advisor!

This is not because of a claim on a website, but rather because of my confidence in my experience, credentials, and how I show up for each and every client. So keep reading to learn more about me, my planning philosophy and fee structures, so you can understand what makes this practice genuinely different — and why it matters for the kind of client I serve.

I am a CFP® (CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™), an Enrolled Agent, and the founder of Stockade Wealth Management — a registered investment advisor practice serving clients across New Jersey and beyond.

                                                                  CREDENTIALS

The CFP® is the planning credential — financial planning education, a comprehensive exam, ongoing professional standards. Most people have heard of it.

The Enrolled Agent is less well known, and that is exactly the point. The EA designation is rare among financial advisors. It is a federally licensed tax credential earned through an IRS examination covering individual and business taxation, as well as representation before the agency. To become an EA, you do not take a course. You pass a rigorous examination that most tax professionals find demanding.

I pursued both designations because the clients I work with have complex financial lives where planning and tax strategy are inseparable. Most financial advisors refer out tax questions. The EA credential means I engage with the tax complexity of your situation directly — your investments, your equity compensation, your retirement income — all through a tax-informed lens.

                                                                   INDEPENDENT

Stockade Wealth Management is a registered investment adviser. I am not affiliated with a wirehouse, a broker-dealer, or a product manufacturer. I am not managed by a regional director with a sales quota. I am a fiduciary — legally and ethically bound to always put your interests first. That means my interest and your interest point in exactly the same direction.

                                                                    EXPERIENCE

I started my career months before the onset of the financial crisis. Many investors of recent years have only ever experienced a bull market. That firsthand experience of navigating the emotional reality of a turbulent market — combined with nearly two decades of financial and tax planning work — has allowed me to guide professionals and families through complex decisions: equity compensation, retirement transitions, estate planning, and multigenerational wealth. I have seen what works, what does not, and what most people get wrong at the most critical moments.
